Halloween on Delmarva!

By Tiffany Raeuber, in Uncategorized

Halloween
One of the many great things about Peninsula Lakes is that it is located only 12 miles from our Delaware Beaches including Rehoboth and Bethany, but is also close to many other towns such as Millsboro, Salisbury, and even Ocean City! Whether you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the summer traffic, or in the off season visit the towns for the fantastic lineup of fall events, Peninsula Lakes is perfectly situated near it all!
Speaking of fall events, Halloween is right around the corner, so we wanted to make sure you knew where all the best Halloween Events were taking place:
Halloween Happening at the Salisbury Zoo
Saturday, October 21 1pm-4pm
Children will be able to trick-or-treat throughout the Zoo and participate in Halloween Games, costume contests, hay bale maze, and also get to hang out with the zoo animals! Tickets are available for presale and are $2 for adults and $8 for children.
O.C.toberfest Ocean City Inlet, Ocean City, MD
Saturday, October 21st-Sunday, October 22nd & Saturday, October 28th–Sunday October 29th 10am-5pm
Beach maze, pet parade, pumpkin race are just some of the events that you can enjoy over the next few weeks at the iconic Ocean City Boardwalk and beaches. Take a quick ride to Downtown Ocean City and enjoy the beach views and the fall festivities!
Boo-Que by the Sea
Friday & Saturday, October 20 & 21

The Delaware National Seashore Park joins in the Halloween fun again this year with the third annual Boo-Que by the Sea. Enjoy a professional barbecue competition, along with amateur and kids competitions. Of course there’s also a costume contest so dress to impress! And for the runners in your group, sign up for the 5K run.

Milton Zombie Festival
Saturday, October 21
Our small town of Milton will transform into some monstrous fun for all ages with a full lineup of magic shows, mentalists, horror movies, live music and a host of other activities. Proceeds will benefit The Milton Theatre, The Milton Historical Society, The Milton Fire Department and Casa San Francisco Homeless Shelter. Tickets and details by clicking here.
Sea Witch Festival
Friday October 27th-Sunday October 29th
This well-known event will consist of a costume parade, dog parade, trick or treating, a 5k race, beach games, vendors, and live Bandstand entertainment! This is an event you don’t want to miss, especially this year because Team Schell will be taking over First Street Station with our very own Spooktacular Kids Zone! Try your hand at our bean bag toss, decorate a mini-pumpkin, or snap a photo in Dracula’s lair, all while enjoying the festivities free of charge. But arrive early! We’ll be providing prizes and trick-or-treat bags while supplies last.
Sea Witch Trick or Treating and Haunted Bonfire 6:30pm
Friday, October 27th

The Leslie Kopp Group’s Annual Wags, Witches & Warlocks event is a day of fun that supports the Delaware SPCA. Attendees can enjoy a costume contest, crafts for the kids including pumpkin painting and face painting. Trick-or-treating in the town will also take place from 11am-1pm.
