Terms & Conditions

To be eligible for the Real Estate Agent Rewards Program, the following registration guidelines must apply:

  1. The online registration is valid for six months. It is the responsibility of the Agent to re-register his/her Clients after the expiration date in order to be eligible for any applicable Schell Brothers Rewards Program(s).
  2. The Customer visited a Schell Brothers/Kincade Homes community and/or Branch Out Division as a result of the Agent's recommendation.
  3. The Customer was registered by the Agent before or during the Customer's first visit to a Schell Brothers community.
  4. The Customer acknowledges, that the Agent referred him/her to a Schell Brothers/ Kincade Homes community and/or Branch Out Division.
  5. Schell Brothers/Kincade Homes will only pay one Broker commission per sale. In the event the customer is registered by multiple Agents, Schell Brothers will pay the real estate agent designated by the customer at time of contract.
  6. The Customer has been presented with a Customer Information Sheet (CIS).
  7. Schell Brothers reserves the right to pay the broker commission prior to settlement after contract ratification and receipt of a mortgage pre approval and/or proof of funds available to settle on the property. However, in the event the Customer terminates the contract, defaults on the contract, or does not settle on the property for any reason, Agent/Broker agrees to reimburse Schell Brothers for the full commission paid. Agent also reserves the right not to be paid prior to settlement.

Aleksejs and Albina came into their selections appointment with a clear vision of how they wanted their Shearwater to look. As this is their primary residence, they wanted a home with more contemporary flair. I believe Aleksejs and Albina accomplished their mission. Let’s take a look inside.

THE GREAT ROOM
While many of our homeowners opt for a vaulted ceiling in the great room, Aleksejs and Albina decided to close off the space to create a more intimate and cozy space in the great room. Making this choice allowed them to create a large play space for their kids on the second floor. Extra added bonus of this selection is a quieter environment. Parents can entertain on the first level without disturbing their kids’ bedtime.

THE PROFESSIONAL KITCHEN
This Shearwater kitchen has an abundance of counter space for prep and entertaining. The oversized Command Center can handle their large family or serve as a perfect spot to lay out a wide spread while entertaining.

THE WET BAR & THE SUNROOM
The kitchen and bar were designed in unison to create one larger entertaining space. The repetition of hex tiles shown throughout the house repeats that pattern and brings continuity to the house design.

Another notable structural option in this home is the addition of sunroom. While sunrooms can be used as sitting rooms or TV rooms, Aleksejs and Albina plan to use it as their dining area. The close proximity of the wet bar also makes it ideal for entertaining.

THE PRIMARY BATH
The primary bath is one of my favorite spaces in this home. Aleksejs and Albina chose classic marble styles but updated the look with old classics making a modern comeback-the penny round and hexagon tile. The subtle marble veining in the floor tile does not overwhelm the space or compete with the more prevalent wall tiles. Despite dark floors and countertops the lighter cabinets and wall tile keep the bathroom from being too dark.

Matte black finishes are so in right now. It’s dark and moody, but also modern in its styling. Black finishes were used in many of the baths for fixtures and hardware. The benefit of matte black finish is that it tends not to leave prints or spot like silver finishes making it easy to maintain while providing a contemporary look.

Hexagon tile – a timeless choice

Tile has always played a dual role of functionality and aesthetics. Throughout history, tile in bathrooms has seen its trends come and go with some patterns really standing the test of time, hexagon being one of them.

Hexagon tiles were first created at the turn of the 20th century for utilitarian purposes with white and black being the predominant colors offered. In the first half of the century color was introduced to these tiles and they took off in both residential and commercial applications. In the 50’s and 60’s they took a backseat to more modern trends…until now. Experts believe nostalgia and a desire to go back to the quality of yesteryear has driven the popularity of hexagon tiles over the last few years.

Schell Brothers offers eight hexagon tile collections suited for a variety of applications from kitchen backsplash, to shower wall and shower pan tile, to floor tile. If you are looking for a hip new shape to use in your home, try using a tile that while fresh and current has been around for decades and is here to stay, try a hexagon tile.

Mesmerist™ by Daltile

The Mesmerist™ collection provides a fresh take on the commonly used subway tile. The hexagon shape is less expected and the variation from tile to tile adds a ton of visual interest without being too busy. It’s offered in six captivating colors and can be used on kitchen backsplash or shower walls.

Color Field Esagona Gloss by SHAW

Another great option for shower wall tile is the Color Field Esagona Gloss collection. Available in seven colors, this tile is more consistent in color, and has the look of a handcrafted tile.

Perpetuo™ by Daltile

For those looking for a more classic natural looking hexagon tile, Perpetuo™ collection features marble vein designs offered in five neutral colors. This collection also offers more decorative designs like the Bridal and Tuxedo. Perpetuo™ is only available for floor application.
