Brainstorming the mission.
During a brainstorming session in 2008, we put our heads together to identify our mission statement – our goal was to capture the true character of Schell Brothers.
Ideas were tossed around and it quickly became evident that what really stands out about our company is that we truly are different than our competitors. And that difference begins with something that can’t be copied – our people. From the varying personalities and backgrounds of the members of the Schell Brothers team to the superior materials we use in our homes, we are a unique presence in the Southern Delaware home building arena.
While we know that both quality construction and the opportunity to personalize a home are highly important, we believe that the most significant factor in building customer happiness is creating a pleasant and unforgettable home buying experience. For most of our customers, purchasing a new home is the biggest financial investment of their lives, and we are determined to make that purchase stress-free and enjoyable. In fact, we’ve made our company mission statement just that:
Our mission is to bring happiness to ourselves and our homeowners by not only creating exceptional homes and communities but also by providing an extraordinary home buying experience.
In making this our daily mission,
we have found that while our homeowners are always pleased with their new homes, what tends to leave a greater impression in their experience is the Schell Brothers team ... from our professionalism and passion for homebuilding to our fun-loving culture and camaraderie.
Our team consists of energetic people from various backgrounds who truly love working for Schell Brothers. Every member of the team takes great pride in building beautiful homes with well-appointed features and unmatched curb appeal. Each one of us is empowered to do what it takes to ensure a memorable experience for our home buyers. We believe that one of our customers said it best in a recent email: “Dealing with you folks is a very pleasant experience.” We love what we do, and it shows.
Over the past 20 months we have been planning on moving to Independence and with each step we’ve taken and with each different person from your organization that we’ve met, we’ve encountered nothing but great feelings, honesty, warmth, and a sense of pride and knowledge with courtesy and accommodation that surpassed everything.
In our lifetime, Liz and I can’t remember a process that we’ve been through that has given us more pleasure – and a sense of gratitude that we’ve gone through this journey with all of you.
