I discovered coastal Delaware on an impromptu visit with a friend in 1980, and for me, the ocean, the way of life and all that DE had to offer made me realize I never wanted to leave.
Although Bethesda, Maryland was where I grew up and attended Walter Johnson High School and subsequently University of Maryland, I instantly felt at home in Delaware.
I married my high school sweetheart in 1982 and we immediately chose to call coastal Delaware home. We have been blessed with four amazing daughters, all born and raised, right here, in Delaware. Even though my oldest daughter now resides in Colorado with her husband, and my youngest daughter attends Virginia Tech, (I am fortunate enough to have my other two in nearby Millsboro along with my two grandkids and son-in-law), we all cherish our time together here in Delaware over holidays and family get-togethers enjoying everything that Delaware has to offer.
Prior to working at Schell Brothers, I acquired a great deal of experience in the home building industry. I had my own building and real estate business until I became a direct representative for AT&T Wireless. During the homebuilding boom, I was enticed back into the building business to help a regional and then national builder open up in Delaware, I then and later worked for a local developer. In 2010 I was blessed by finding and joining the Schell Brothers family. The experience has been nothing like I had ever experienced in my working career. Not many jobs are so focused on helping people and helping make them happy, but at Schell it is part of our daily routine. I am proud to have picked up a few awards throughout my career and I am particularly proud of my “Best Attitude”, “Building Happiness” and “Most Dedicated” awards.
Over the years, I have loved photographing Delaware’s scenery. You may have seen some of my work through Schell Brothers print material or on our Facebook pages. “Mother Nature” in this area provides lots of great subjects to photograph. Keep your eye out on our Facebook page for some of my handy work.
I would welcome the opportunity to get to know you and help you navigate through your building experience.
