Tile has always played a dual role of functionality and aesthetics. Throughout history, tile in bathrooms has seen its trends come and go with some patterns really standing the test of time, hexagon being one of them.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hexagon tiles were first created at the turn of the 20th<\/sup> century for utilitarian purposes with white and black being the predominant colors offered. In the first half of the century color was introduced to these tiles and they took off in both residential and commercial applications. In the 50\u2019s and 60\u2019s they took a backseat to more modern trends\u2026until now. Experts believe nostalgia and a desire to go back to the quality of yesteryear has driven the popularity of hexagon tiles over the last few years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mesmerist\u2122 collection provides a fresh take on the commonly used subway tile. The hexagon shape is less expected and the variation from tile to tile adds a ton of visual interest without being too busy. It\u2019s offered in six captivating colors and can be used on kitchen backsplash or shower walls.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Color Field Esagona Gloss <\/strong>by SHAW<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another great option for shower wall tile is the Color Field Esagona Gloss collection. Available in seven colors, this tile is more consistent in color, and has the look of a handcrafted tile. <\/p>\n<\/div>

For those looking for a more classic natural looking hexagon tile, Perpetuo\u2122 collection features marble vein designs offered in five neutral colors. This collection also offers more decorative designs like the Bridal and Tuxedo. Perpetuo\u2122 is only available for floor application.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
