Schell Brothers will once again team up with the “Friends of the Lewes Canalfront Park” as the major sponsor of its second annual golf tournament\u00a0to be held at The Rookery Golf Club on Thursday, September 20.
\n“We continue to be the beneficiary of strong community activism by the Schell family\u201d, commented Bob Slavin, Chair of the Friends board. “In addition to serving as major event sponsor, Schell Brothers uses this event as a vehicle for the involvement of several of their sub-contractors and suppliers.”
\n\u201cSchell Brothers is proud to sponsor the 2nd Annual Canalfront Park Golf Tournament\u201d, said Chris Schell, President of Schell Brothers Construction.
\nThanks to proceeds from a myriad of fundraisers, including last year’s tournament, the initial phase of Park construction has now been dedicated. Final completion of the Park is slated for 2009. Meanwhile, funds raised by the “Friends” organization will be focused on various “in-park” activities.
\nThe entry fee for this year’s tournament remains at $125, which includes greens fees, cart rental, range balls, gift bags, lunch, prizes, and a post-tournament dinner. Hopefully this year’s event will match the incredible “awarding” of two automobiles that occurred in 2006 in the hole-in-one contest!
