The Courtyard Series

Designed for the way you live - indoors and out.

The Courtyard Series will have you smiling, nodding your head, and wondering why you haven’t seen designs like this in our area before.

Based on extensive research about what Boomers are looking for in a home, these unique designs provide the ideal connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces. Your friends will always be looking forward to the next get-together.

Who said a room has to have walls?

By far the most unique aspect of these homes is the charming Courtyard. Boomers indicated that they want a more usable, private, and comfortable outdoor living space, and research shows that backyards are very rarely used. On top of that, Boomers felt that most production homes don’t allow for a usable or practical outdoor area. So we changed the rules. In the Courtyard Series, the homes "live" around an outdoor oasis that is fully accessible to the main living area and the master bedroom suite. To make the transition even more fluid, we raised the level of the Courtyard so you won’t notice a big drop when you step outside. You can add privacy via personalized fencing or unique border plantings.

Tour the Kingfisher at Breakwater and you’ll notice that there are multiple outdoor rooms such as a dining area, space for lounging or sunbathing, and an outdoor retreat with sofas and chairs centered around a fireplace.

Expand your interior horizons.

Inside a Courtyard Series home, the traditional dining room has been traded for an enlarged eating area, bar seating in the kitchen, and an expanded breakfast nook that will accommodate a large dining table. The feedback we received was that formal dining rooms are a waste of money and space since they are seldom used. Plus, most people like open floor plans so it just made sense to have the dining area open to the kitchen and living areas.

Ample storage space.

One of the biggest gripes people had with production homes is tight garages, which barely provide enough space for two cars let alone any extra real estate for bikes, tools, beach gear, golf clubs, etc. All the Courtyard Series homes include garages with ample storage space and plenty of room for two cars. Inside, you’ll find additional storage space for things like vacuum cleaners, platters, and Christmas decorations, especially since most Courtyard Series plans have a first floor walk-in storage closet.

Designed around an outdoor living space.

By far the most unique aspect of these homes is the Courtyards. You’ll also love the open floorplan and ample storage space.
